Thematic Focus: Health, Jobs, Education, Culture, Justice and human rights, Information integrity, Workers, and the Global Ethical Stocktake
Empowering and Equipping People to Accelerate Progress
Today, COP30 shines a light on a people-powered transition — where work, learning, and culture drive a fair and resilient future. The day opens with the launch of the Global Initiative on Jobs & Skills for the New Economy, unveiling its first Flagship Report and Action Agenda to help countries and industries create decent jobs and training opportunities along their transition paths.
Discussions on Indigenous Adaptation highlight locally led solutions and innovative models for direct financing, while the Asset Owners Summit gathers major investors to align capital with climate goals. Sessions on information integrity and culture explore how narratives and values shape collective action. Throughout the day, one message stands out: real climate action starts with people — their skills, creativity, and determination to build a livable future for all.
Daily COP30 Presidency Press Briefing (6:30 PM PC Room 1):
COP30 CEO, Ana Toni, will be joined by key leaders (to be confirmed) to provide updates on daily developments with a focus on adaptation and skills.

9:00 AM - 10:30 AM High-Level Launch of the Global Initiative “Jobs & Skills for the New Economy and presentation of its first Flagship Report and Action Agenda”
Launch of the Global Initiative for Jobs & Skills for the New Economy at COP30 aims to connect governments, industry, and civil society to integrate jobs and skills into economic and climate strategies. The initiative will support governments in embedding jobs and skills into national plans and mobilize public and private finance by identifying needs, leveraging climate funds, and establishing shared investment mechanisms.
Location: Set Room No. 3, Parnaíba (Theatre), Blue Zone
9:30 AM - 10:30 AM Promotion of Information Integrity on Climate Change
This interactive workshop brings together a wide range of partners to strengthen the integrity of climate information through global collaboration, research, and innovation. Participants will co-create communication campaigns that promote clear, science-based information, share practical tools and transparency policies, and explore funding opportunities through the Global Fund for Information Integrity on Climate Change. The session will also highlight the role of businesses in ensuring ethical communication and continued investment in trustworthy climate reporting.

10:30 AM - 12:00 PM High-Level/Ministerial Event Indigenous Adaptation
This high-level roundtable highlights Indigenous-led adaptation pathways from the territories to the world, fostering a strategic dialogue between governments, Indigenous leaders, multilateral funds and the UNFCCC. The outcomes will strengthen climate policies and direct financing mechanisms.

12:30 PM - 1:30 PM Launch of the PAS and Ministerial Declaration on Sustainable Public Procurement for a Just Transition
This high-level event will launch the Plan to Accelerate Solutions (PAS) for Sustainable Public Procurement,
promoting climate action and a just transition. It will conclude with a Ministerial Declaration uniting governments
In a commitment to use public procurement as a tool for a just transition.

2:30 PM - 5:20 PM High-Level Event Asset Owners Summit
A high-level, closed-door summit for influential asset owners and corporate leaders to build consensus on: top priority solutions and geographies for the transition, effective policies that accelerate capital deployment into these markets, and the fiduciary case and narrative for transition finance.

4:15 PM - 5:15 PM High-Level Event of the Global Initiative for Information Integrity on Climate Change – Outcomes and Way Forward
The Global Initiative for Information Integrity on Climate Change was launched by the United Nations, UNESCO, and the Government of Brazil during the G20 Summit in 2024, and for the first time, this topic has become part of the COP’s Action Agenda. The High-Level Event will present the outcomes of the Global Initiative and invite other actors to join this collective effort.

5:00 PM - 6:00 PM Narratives and Storytelling to Face the Climate Crisis
This session highlights how culture, storytelling, and the arts can inspire climate action and promote sustainable living. Bringing together artists, policymakers, and leaders — including Ministers Margareth Menezes and Claudia Roth, and Davi Kopenawa — it showcases creative initiatives that engage society and advance the 1.5°C climate goal.
