A Chapter Closes — And a New Beginning
Â
After two and a half years, I have decided to close this chapter of The Green Amazon News.
Â
This was not an easy decision. When I started this newspaper, I imagined I would keep it going for at least five years. I invested time, money, energy, and above all, hope. I deeply believed in creating a space dedicated to climate adaptation, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and the protection of our planet and its animals. That education would be the means.
Â
I still believe in all of that.
Â
I am not giving up on environmental activism. I am not giving up on protecting animals in every way possible. And I am certainly not giving up on writing.
Â
What I have chosen to do now is redirect my energy.
Â
Maintaining this newspaper required more emotional and financial investment than I can sustainably give at this stage of my life. The world itself seemed heavy — wars, violence, femicides in my country, and so many other forms of destruction that I cannot control, but which affect me deeply. I realized that trying to carry so much weight was exhausting me.
Â
There comes a point in life when we not only need to fight for what we believe in, but also protect our own strength. I want to dedicate more time to my career as a photographer and writer. I will continue sharing my ideas on LinkedIn and Instagram. I will continue working as a ghostwriter. I will continue speaking about environmental responsibility—just in a different format.
Â
This doesn't mean the end of my voice. It's a change in how I choose to use it.
Â
I am deeply grateful to everyone who has supported, read, shared, encouraged, and collaborated with me over the past two and a half years. Your trust and engagement have meant more than you can imagine.
Â
Sometimes ending a project isn't a failure. Sometimes it's an act of honesty and realignment. My health and my family must be a priority right now so I can move forward.
Â
Thank you for being part of this journey.
Â
This is not a goodbye to the cause.
Â
It's simply a new path to follow.
