Fraternity Campaign 2025: Integral Ecological Pastoral Care and Today's Challenges
The 2025 Fraternity Campaign, promoted by the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB), has as its theme “Fraternity and Integral Ecological Pastoral Care”, highlighting the importance of balancing development and environmental preservation. Inspired by the vision of Pope Francis, especially in his encyclical Laudato Si', the campaign invites society to reflect deeply on how our daily choices affect the environment and future generations.
An integral approach
Integral Ecological Pastoral proposes a vision that connects social, economic, and environmental aspects, recognizing that nature and humanity are part of the same interdependent system. Small actions can generate big impacts: reducing waste, consuming consciously and supporting sustainable initiatives are essential steps towards a more balanced future.
Today's challenges
Brazil faces urgent environmental challenges, such as climate change, degradation of biomes, and the socio-economic impacts of natural resource exploitation. Given this scenario, it is essential to promote debates and encourage initiatives that reconcile development and preservation, guaranteeing social justice and respect for biodiversity.
Mobilization and commitment
The Fraternity Campaign reinforces the importance of society's active participation in shaping public policies and adopting sustainable practices. Each person can be an agent of transformation by adopting more responsible habits and supporting actions that promote a fairer and more balanced world.
The challenge is collective, and the Fraternity Campaign 2025 invites us to reflect and act responsibly to ensure a sustainable future. All religions and beliefs are welcome on this journey of caring for our common home because preserving life and the planet is a universal commitment.
